I'm downloading a bunch of classical music.
i was gonna categorize them by the key that they are played in, and then listen to them on my ipod to get a feel for the different feelings of that key.

does there seem to be any noticeable flaw with this idea, anything that would screw up my perfect pitch progress?

The key of a piece of music may produce feelings to the listener and the piece of music itself has its "flavor" aswell.

Just take good notice of the possibility that this "flavor" may too cause to produce feelings.

If you were to listen to the exact same song, yet transposed into a different key, it could still be plausible for certain pieces to affect the "flavor".

In regard to your perfect pitch progress, I would say it depends on how you are working towards your goal. If using your feelings is an important aspect of your approach, perhaps. If not...perhaps.

I am just one in a million to have shared my view on it.

Peace,

Fuck yeah, i haven't practiced or done anything today, its 10pm and all of a sudden i heard in my head C,D,E,F,G (those happen to be the ones i've gotten to on prolobe)
i went upstairs to compare it to the piano and it was right
which is good for me cause i try to hear a C note in my head and compare it when i wake up in the morning and its always off

this doesnt really have to do with my plan of music in different keys
it was just a sidenote to my progress

does anyone else hear notes in there head and compare them to see if theyre correct?

I thought you couldn't really be influenced by song keys until you had developed perfect pitch enough to discriminate between them. But let's see how this turns out. I don't think it will make a difference, but I could be wrong.
