In my mind theory is pretty worthless unless of course it is being used to either arrange or rearrange someone's musical perception -- which is why you should probably be looking elsewhere for an answer to your question. Hey, how are Bruce Arnold's materials treating you -- any luck with One Note?

I stop doing one note because of the trigger, but I will do it later, i'm most of the time praticing things for perfect pitch and playing my instrument (guitar).

Do you passed one note and do yo use some others material from him? I have one note, fanatic guide to ear training and direct application.

This is one of the best theory (read: theory that is worth a damn) you will find unless you want to pay money.

I have the strong opinion that theory is a (mostly) waste of time unless you can hear it. The best way is to learn an instrument and keep your ears and mind open.

I would welcome a surprise, but it has never happened. Most of the people I've met who pride themselves on theory were poor to amateurish musicians.

theory is helpful in communicating with other people
being able to say "we're gonna do x, y, z" and the other person/people get it speeds up the process tremendously
