Hey everybody! I am a student of north Indian classical music, learning sitar. In class, we tune our instruments to a tanboura or tanboura box that plays two octaves of the tonic (c) and a fifth (g). While I have no problem tuning the note I am hearing, I struggle to tune all the notes in between using only the tanboura. I am wondering if relative pitch would be a more appropriate goal for me, and if anyone knows any programs that will help with this. I am new to Prolobe, but am not sure how much this program will help me, Indian music doesn't use chords, or even the same note names. Any suggestions would definitely be appreciated Sherry |
